After Rock Nightclub, Bali
Custom curved LED mesh for After Rock Nightclub, Bali — a seamless display from stage floor up the wall and across the ceiling, built by DEN STUDIO’s DLW division in 2024.
After Rock Nightclub in Bali asked DEN STUDIO to raise the impact of its main stage with an architectural-scale video element. Delivered in 2024, the DLW custom LED division designed and built a fully bespoke curved LED mesh for the performance area.
The screen is a continuous, high-resolution surface that rises from the stage floor along the front wall and extends across the ceiling, wrapping the room in a sculptural backdrop. The brief was to fit a large curved video element into an existing nightclub structure, with structural safety, visual impact, and tight sync to the venue’s effect lighting.
The mesh was engineered, prototyped and manufactured at DLW’s China facility under in-house supervision, for pixel uniformity, a smooth curve, and durability in Bali’s humidity. On site, the team handled structural mounting, cabling and alignment so the curve reads as one surface.
Content is coordinated with the club’s beams, lasers and moving heads, so video and light pass through each other and performers can appear to sit inside the image. The result is sharp playback, strong colour and a light-and-video look that has become After Rock’s visual identity.
